Fix error: This setting is managed by your administrator

When opening Windows Security and enabling Real-time protection, but getting the message “This setting is managed by your administrator” is highlighted in red.

To fix this, open the Registry Editor, and navigate to:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender
Open key: DisableAntiSpyware and change the value 1 to 0.

Or you can Open Command Prompt as administrator and enter the command:
REG ADD “HKLM\SOFTWARE\Policies\Microsoft\Windows Defender” /v DisableAntiSpyware /t REG_DWORD /d 0 /f
and press Enter

Then restart the computer.

Open Windows Security and enable Real-time protection normally.
