After a period of use, Linux Ubuntu Server Operating System will increase significantly in capacity. This affects the storage capacity of the hard drive which is limited by the VPS package provided by the network operator. Therefore, we must regularly clean up the garbage so as not to unjustly lose the used space.

Check and delete the error log file .err

By default Ubuntu Server will write errors to the mysql directory. Therefore, after using these files, their size will increase dramatically.
- Open directory: opt/lampp/var/mysql/
See if the error log file has a large .err extension, delete it (Shift + Del), and recreate another file with the same name.

Check temp folder and delete junk files:

Ubuntu Server will save temporary files, junk files in the temp folder. After a while, these junk files will increase in size significantly.
- Open directory: opt/lampp/temp
If you have a large file, delete it directly (Shift + Del).

Check the logs directory:

By default Ubuntu Server will log logs, the more websites you visit, the more logs.
- Open directory: opt/lampp/logs
If you have a large file, delete it directly (Shift + Del).

After restarting Ubuntu Server you will see a significant increase in free hard drive space.
